tomorrow we go back
to the little room with the recliner
where we watch bad, bad movies
and wait while the radioactive sugar makes
its way through lee’s system before the scan.
we’re hoping that the sugar doesn’t exit
at the spleen offramp and have a roadside picnic lunch.
that would be bad…if you’re a spleen sympathizer.
